At a ceremony at the Home Department, a memorandum of understanding was signed. In addition to IG Prisons Mian Farooq Nazir, Additional Secretary Prisons Roman Borana, and Deputy Secretary Prisons Tehniyat Bukhari, the agreement was signed by DIG Prisons Naveed Rauf and a Daraz official.

According to officials, the program will make high-quality goods made by prisoners easily accessible across the country, increasing sales and paying offenders more for their labor. Carpets, difficult tiles, furniture, LED bulbs, shoes, gloves, footballs, clothes, soap, phenyl, washing powder, and metal trunks are being produced in Punjab’s prisons. 

Additionally, a variety of vocations, such as barbering, tailoring, cooking, motorcycle maintenance, electrical work, and handicrafts, are being taught to prisoners. Production levels and inmate compensation are two factors used to assess jail superintendents’ success.
