Important NADRA Warning for Overseas Pakistanis: Immediate Action Required

Important NADRA Warning for Overseas Pakistanis

The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has issued a warning about a fraudulent website operating under its identity, so Pakistani nationals residing overseas, particularly those in the UK, have been cautioned to remain vigilant.

Fake Nadra Website: Your Personal Info At Risk

The organization claims that by pretending to be an official NADRA service, the fraudulent website “NADRA Card Centre,” which can be accessed at nadra.cardcentre.co.uk, is involved in defrauding Pakistanis living abroad.

The platform makes misleading claims about offering NICOP processing, ID cards, and even employment chances.

NADRA explained that the website is exploiting the name of the National Database and Registration Authority to mislead the public and has no connection whatsoever to the institution.

The authority issued a warning that any personal data entered on these sites could be exploited and put citizens at risk of identity-related or financial harm.

Complain Lodge By Nadra

NADRA has formally filed a complaint with the National Cyber Crime Agency, requesting that the people and organizations in charge of the fraudulent scheme be the subject of an immediate investigation and severe legal action.

The authorities have emphasized how urgent it is to track down the offenders, stop their activities, and stop citizens from being exploited both domestically and internationally.

NADRA Issues Alert For Married Citizens

In order to prevent future legal issues, the National Database and Registration Authority had previously advised all married nationals to confirm their marital status in official documents as soon as possible.

The authority noted in a statement on its official Facebook page that many people have registered their marriages with the Union Councils, but their information has not yet been updated in the NADRA database.

In order to accurately record their marital status, the authorities have emphasized that these persons should visit NADRA centers as soon as possible.

The National Database and Registration Authority’s continuous efforts to preserve accurate and current citizen data include the update procedure.

NADRA Launched Latest SMS Service

Additionally, the registration authorities have introduced an SMS service to educate married individuals about this.

The official website [www.nadra.gov.pk](http://www.nadra.gov.pk) and the hotline at 1777 (for mobile users) or 051-111-786-100 can provide citizens with more information or guidance.

Update fee and requirements

The authority claims that changing a National Identity Card’s (CNIC) marital status costs Rs. 100. The modification falls under the category of “unprintable alteration.”

When submitting their request, applicants must include pertinent documents, such as a Nikahnama or marriage certificate, depending on the circumstances.

Conclusion

This latest warning from NADRA serves as an important reminder for overseas Pakistanis to stay alert and verify all online services before sharing personal information. By taking action against the fake website and urging citizens to update their official records, NADRA aims to protect the public from fraud and ensure that all data remains accurate and secure. Overseas Pakistanis are advised to rely only on NADRA’s official platforms and contact its helpline for any assistance or verification.
