Petrol Price Unchanged, Diesel Hiked by Rs 6 for Late November 2025

The federal government has announced the latest petrol and diesel prices for the second half of November 2025, keeping petrol unchanged while increasing the rate of High-Speed Diesel (HSD). The new prices are effective from November 16 to November 30, 2025.

Petrol Price Remains Same For Rest Of Nov

The government has maintained the petrol price at Rs 265.45 per litre, offering stability to millions of private vehicle users.

Although international petrol prices recorded a slight decline, which could have justified a price cut, the authorities preferred to keep domestic rates steady to avoid frequent fluctuations.

Diesel Price Hike by Rs 6 Per Litre

In contrast, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs 6 per litre, taking the new rate from Rs 278.44 to Rs 284.44.

This rise comes after a noticeable increase in global diesel prices, which pushed up import costs for Pakistan. Diesel is widely used in transport, agriculture, and logistics, meaning the hike may impact goods movement and farming operations.

Official Notification Issued

The Finance Division released the updated petroleum prices following recommendations from:

  • The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA)
  • Relevant ministries monitoring global fuel trends

The government stated that these adjustments are part of its regular fortnightly review to align local prices with international oil market movements.

Conclusion

The latest fuel price update brings mixed news for consumers. While petrol remains stable, providing some relief to daily commuters, the Rs 6 per litre increase in diesel is expected to influence transportation and agricultural costs. As global oil markets remain uncertain, Pakistan will continue its regular fortnightly adjustments to maintain price transparency and ensure a balanced fuel pricing mechanism.
